Eight Dhaka bound express trains will not stop at the airport station from today in order to ensure safe and comfortable journey of domestics and to maintain regular train schedule on the occasion of Eid- Ul- Azha.
This information has been informed in a press release of Bangladesh Railway. It said that from Saturday trains will not stop at the airport station before departing the starting point and entering Kamalapur station. Trains will stop at Joydebpur or Tongi station and proceed directly to Kamalapur station.
The notification also said that the Dhaka-bound Ekta, Drutojan, Panchagarh, Nilsagar, Kurigram, Lalmoni, Rangpur and Chilahati Express trains will not stop at Dhaka Airport Station from today till the day before Eid.
The notification of Bangladesh Railway also said that no tickets will be issued for inter-zonal intercity trains from Joydebpur station to Dhaka and from Dhaka station to Joydebpur for 5 days before Eid to facilitate the travel of ticket holders. Apart from this, there is no opportunity to issue any tickets for the inter-city train from the airport station to Dhaka and from Dhaka station to the airport.
