A bus of Akash Paribahan bus was set on fire at the Tatibazar intersection in the capital on the first day of two day blockade enforced by BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami.
The incident happened around 7:25pm, Rafi Al Faruk, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence control room, told the media.
The fire service official said that two fire engines arrived on scene at 7:33 pm and began extinguishing the fire.
Meanwhile, unidentified miscreants set fire to another bus in the city`s Kakoli neighborhood around 8:08 p.m., according to fire service officials.
