Major General Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui has been appointed as the new director general of the Border Guard Bangladesh, according to the BSS.
He will be replacing outgoing Major General AKM Nazmul Hasan of the para-military force.
A gazette notification, signed by Abdullah Arif Mohammad, deputy secretary of the Public Administration ministry, was issued in this regard on Tuesday.
