The court has issued an arrest warrant against BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi and the party’s Rajshahi division organizing secretary Ruhul Quddus Talukder Dulu in a case filed with Shabag police station under the special powers act.
Judge M Imrul Kayesh of Dhaka Metropolitan session court passed the order on Monday (October 25) accepting the charge sheet of the case.
The additional public prosecutor of the court Taposh Kumar Pal confirmed the matter to the media.
“Court fixed today to accept the charge-sheet of a case filed under the special powers act with Shahbag police station in 2018. But, Rizvi and Dulu did not appear before the court. Taking the charge-sheet into cognizance court issued the arrest warrant,” Taposh said.
