25 Bbaria policemen dismissed for ‘breaching discipline’

Twenty-five members of the Brahmanbaria district police have been dismissed for engaging in undisciplined and criminal activities.

Besides, a total of 100 policemen have also been given various punishments. District Superintendent of Police Mohammad Anisur Rahman said this at a press conference on Monday (August 30).

“I have joined here for more than 2 years. I have discharged 25 police personnel working in the district for their activities breaching departmental discipline. I did not hesitate to punish a total of 100 people.”

Among those fired and punished are constables, assistant sub-inspectors and sub-inspectors.

The superintendent of police further said that if any police member is involved in crime in the future, similar action will be taken against them through investigation if specific allegations are proved.

He added that through an app called 'Lost and Found', anyone can make a general diary (GD) from any part of the country with his NID. As a result, police stations no longer have to use GD books in the old way. In addition, the three-day attendance and duty of all the police members of the district is being ensured through the Crime Data Management System (CDMS).

Brahmanbaria Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime) Mollah Mohammad Shaheen, Additional Superintendent of Police (Headquarters) Abu Saeed, Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Mozammel Hossain Reza, Assistant Superintendent of Police Sarail Circle Anisur Rahman and officers of different levels of police were present on the occasion.
